Students are responsible for picking up all work missed due to absence. On some occasions, labs/stations/quizzes & tests may have to be made up at lunch or after school. This is the student¡¦s responsibility. Make up work not turned in within a reasonable time period will receive a zero.
Behavior:
Positive behavior will be rewarded with Buckaroos, extra credit points, free homework passes, etc. Class charts will be posted behind my desk so students can keep track of their progress towards rewards.
The Anne Arundel County Code of Conduct will be followed, and a strike system will be used, in the classroom. Three strikes in the same class period will result in a lunch or after school detention. Continued misbehavior within the same class period after three strikes will result in parent contact and/or a referral, depending on the behavior. Strikes are cleared at the end of each period so we can all start with a clean slate the next day.
Parents & students, please note:
You can now access the 'Holt Science & Technology Earth Science' textbook online at http://go.hrw.com/gopages/sc.html
Please let me know if you would like to use the online version, or if I should send a hard copy of the book home. If you do not request a hard copy book, I will assume homework is being done using the online book.
