Upcoming Dates:
4th graders are now responsible for spelling and defining words 1-16. 5th graders are still responsible for all 20 words. Week 19 Words:pandemonium, allergy, maniac, befuddled, fishbelly, solitude, converged, unbeknownst, whiff, nostrils, crusade, convention, vulture, hoisted, sauerkraut, blotches, pulpit, quiver, passenger, amendment Week 20 Words:confetti, dumbfounded, repertoire, veering, incubate, eons, contort, cunning, clenched, leering, nuzzle, gawked, coot, testimony, rookie, immortality (For Week 20, all students will only have 16 words.) Week 21 Words:mourner, peculiar, preposterous, thronged, groused, languished, bittersweet, sumac, filigree, consonant, exhaustion, polka, bloated, acquaintance, aroma, creche, shrine, badge, pallbearer Our "Regular" Homework Schedule Monday: LA-Finish spelling chart, reading log, and get progress slip signed; Math-2nd row of problems and usually an assignment from the Singapore Math workbook (and 4th grade multiplication log) Tuesday: LA-Words 5 times each and Reading Log; Math-3rd row of problems and usually an assignment from the Singapore Math workbook (and 4th grade multiplication log) Wednesday: LA-Sentences with 1/2 of spelling words (must have at least 9 words per sentence) and Reading Log; Math-4th row of problems and usually an assignment from the Singapore Math workbook (and 4th grade multiplication log) Thursday: LA-Sentences with remaining words (must have at least 9 words per sentence) and Reading Log; Math-Quiz Study Worksheet (and 4th grade multiplication log) Students will take a weekly math quiz each Friday in class. Over the weekend: LA-Begin working on Spelling Chart and learning new spelling/vocabulary words, read (no log needed); Math-1st row of problems and get quiz signed
