4B NEWSLETTER Dear Fourth Grade Parents, What a wonderful beginning to the month of February. It is a pleasure to see the students enjoying recess in the mild temperatures we have been having. Catholic Schools Week was a big success. 4B enjoyed displaying their work for all who came to visit the school. I was very proud of the students who participated in the Poetry Reading and Spelling Bee. Congratulations to Emily LeHane for winning First Place in the Poetry Reading. Congratulations goes out to William Oldenhage for First Place in the Spelling Bee. Fourth Grade students were able to be present for the Middle School Geography Bee. Many 4B students have said they would like to participate next year! The week concluded with a special Mass, with many 4B students partipating in the chior. Upcoming events for 4B will be the Terra Nova testing beginning March 5. Information on this will be sent next week. 4B and 4W will be going to the Newark Museum on March 29. We will be attending the Planetarium and a hands activity at the museum. We have visited the museum in the past, and it was a wonderful learning experience for the Fourth Grade students. 4B will be celebrating Valentine's Day on Tuesday, February 14. Students are allowed to bring in cards to exchange with their classmates. The class will have a small snack. If candy is passed out, it will be sent home in a goody bag, along with the cards. As always, thank you for all your support. I truly enjoy spending each day with this wonderful class! Mrs. Borghoff
Sincerely, Mrs. Borghoff
