This and next week we are learning the following:

READING:

We are beginning Theme 11: On the Farm. Our vocabulary words are: Nourished, farming, maintain. Vocabulary test next Thursday.

WRITING:

We will finish our animal research paper.

LANGUAGE & SPELLING

This week we are covering pronouns and contractions. Pronouns Quiz Friday. SPELLING WORDS for WEEK are contractions AND PRONOUNS: I’m, don’t, isn’t, we’ve, we’ll, it’s, I’ve, didn’t, you’re, you’ll, wasn’t, can’t, us, them, *they’re, *wouldn’t. Spelling test Friday.

MATH:

We will continue two digit subtraction with regrouping. Parents please help with regrouping homework, it is a difficult skill! Regrouping Quiz Friday.

SOCIAL STUDIES AND SCIENCE:

We are covering sound and light energy. Quiz on sound Wednesday light next week.

FYI:

Due to Ms. Cook being ill this weekend, signed papers will not go home until Wednesday. I am sorry for any inconvenience! Progress reports will go home next Monday. If you haven’t paid for the Children’s Museum field trip yet, Wednesday is the last day to pay. Have a great week!!!
