I want to personally thank all the coaches and volunteerswho helped with this year’s regional event. It truly takes the dedication ofall of us to accomplish this amazing competition. The event ran pretty smoothlywith no more than the usual unexpected challenges. I always welcome yourfeedback to make improvements in any of the events: a few thoughts:


I attached this years results and last years results if anyone wants to compare your teams performance. 


Ways to improve- there are  many ways to improve your team. 


In October every year there is a NYS coach’s conference held in Fishkill. Every event has a  workshop that explains the event and provides extremely useful  information about the event. The person who will be writing the event or      someone who has many years experience with the event runs them.  They also run workshops for new coaches      that just help you to understand how to organize a team and do well.  I can’t stress how valuable a resource      this conference is to making your team better. After the conference I      host a coaches meeting in November. Most of the time is spent going over      all the rules of the events and explaining the technical rules for      building events.  This years      meeting was very poorly attended.       Pleas make every effort to attend the meeting.


I was very happy to see that every team won at least 1 medal. 

Every year it warms my     hearts to see the students enjoying themselves during the day.  I see sportsmanship and students smiling     and laughing all day.  Even after 17 years I always see something that makes me smile or some new way to do an event. Congratulations to everyone. If there is     anything I can do to ensure that this continues please tell me.
