Homework is a great opportunity for students to get extra practice. It helps them formulate the questions they may still have but can not articulate in a classroom full of their peers. I do not give students "BUSY" homework. My purpose for homework is for students to practice a few problems similar to what we did in class that day. For that reason I do not encourage students to work ahead trying to get a week's worth of homework done at one time. Homework will be reviewed in class to follow-up on student understanding. Homework is graded. Week of October 24, 2011 Monday: Correction of Integer Test with Sentence explaining each incorrect answer. Simplifying Expressions by Combining Like Terms Tuesday: Make-up Missing work Solving 2-step equations Wednesday: MJ Review Thursday: Study for Assessment: Data, Decimals, Integers, Evaluating Expressions, One step equations and Two step Equations.
