Dear Parents, If you are reading this letter ,I guess you found my newsletter! I am not sure what is happening to our new St.Peter website ,but as of right now I am not able to write on the teachers page...as a matter of fact, right now, there is no teachers page! So, until the site is up and running I will continue to use schoolnotes to notify you about what is happening in our room. This week we continued to work on the letter Cc. We have been practicing our Kindergarten printing and listening to words that begin with sound of c. Other activities that we have been working on our Halloween Color Book,creating a book using the sight words we have been learning, making an _at family word wheel, and making our C Class Book. We also have begun reading the book Zac the Rat. We are learning about word families(words that end with the same endings like -at,an,ad etc.). Some new words in Zac the Rat are rat, sat, pan , can, fan,and ran. We have been learning how to print our numbers 1-10 , and putting them in order. Making sure we don't write our numbers backwards is a very important concept we are working on. Our Halloween decorations are coming along nicely, or should I say Boo- ti- ful! Our latest decor is our spooky skeletons hanging over our cubbies.We will be having an all school door decorating contest next week. Wish us luck! Speaking of Halloween, we will be celebrating Halloween in our room on Friday, Oct. 29. Everyone is invited to bring treats to share with their classmates. There are 13 children in our room. Costumes may be worn to school that day, but please no masks or weapons of any kind. The children may bring a change of clothes for later, if they get tired of wearing their costume. MORE SCHOOL INFO:Oct.25-29 will be Red Ribbon Week. Children will have a non-uniform day on Monday,Oct 25. Please wear something red! Saturday, Oct. 23 is the St. Peter Halloween Party from 6:00-9:00! SNACK AND SHARE: NO PEANUTS PLEASE!
