READING - We will be continuing our tale entitled:  Pecos Bill.  In this play, students will join cowgirls and boys as they listen to and act out the tale of Pecos Bill, a lost boy who survives in the wild, finally finding his family, and even a wife.


 

READING SKILLS:  oral reading, comprehension, using context clues to find multiple meaning words, using prior knowledge to make inferences 
 
 
 
Accelerated Reader Tests are this Thursday, February 8th    






RELIGION - We will be discussing the Blessed Trinity - the three persons in one God.   We will be discussing the life and accomplishments of St. Patrick.  We will be discussing that scripture reveals Jesus offers us living water.  We will be participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Monday, February 6th. 

 

 
GRAMMAR SKILLS:  past, present and future tense verbs, pronouns, compound words, contractions, using editing marks to fix grammar mistakes, fixing run-on sentences and fragments, synonyms, nouns, homophones, and subject/verb agreement

 

HANDWRITING - Capital cursive letters:  O, D, C, E





SCIENCE  - We will be going on a field trip this week to the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center.  We will be exploring weathering and erosion in this hands-on sandy, wet adventure!
