Lesson Plans for Lynn Robertson week of 3-8-10
GPS: S7L2. Students will describe the structure and function of cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems. e. Explain the role of the major organ systems in the human body. S7L4. Students will examine the dependence of organisms on one another and their environments. a. Demonstrate in a food web that matter is transferred from one organism to another and can recycle between organisms and their environments. b. Explain in a food web that sunlight is the source of energy and that this energy moves from organism to organism. d. Categorize relationships between organisms that are competitive or mutually beneficial.
MONDAY: 1. Review all body systems. 2. Complete Reverse Autopsy lab. 3, Study and get ready for final check-up Tuesday. HW – STUDY. Final test on all body systems Tuesday.
TUESDAY: 1. Review. 2. Take test on body systems. 3. Begin notes on food chains and webs with notes. HW- Review.
WEDNESDAY: 1. Review notes by looking at interactive food chains and webs on computer. 2. Make “human” food chain examples and analyze. 3. Go outside (weather permitting) for food web simulation. 4. Complete summary on food chains and webs. HW- Review.
THURSDAY: 1. Review. 2. Watch video clips to begin discussions of interrelationships between living things. 3. Complete matching activity of all types of relationships. HW – Review.
FRIDAY: 1. Complete interactive website as a way to review symbiotic relationships. 2. Watch video of how animals depend on each other and fill out viewer’s guide. HW – Enjoy your long weekend.
