May 10, 2010 - The 50 things you want to do in your life.  No more class time will be given for the good copy.  Computer time has been booked for the good copy.  Please ensure to have your rough copy completed and ready to be recopied next day 1. 

Feb 17, 10 - The rough copy work is approaching an end.  If you have not handed in your rough copy to me, please do so asap, time is running out.  Students have been peer editing their discours before handed them in and the work being done is fantastic.  Keep it up everyone.  We will be having a short test on les Adjectifs possessif this coming Friday.  Please come and see me for any clarification prior to the day of the test.

Jan 29, 10 - The concours is well underway and we've got a lot of interesting topics out there.  I look forward to reading your rough copies next week.  Rough copies will need to be completed by February 8th in order to begin peer editing and correcting.

Jan 15, 09 - Its hard to believe that two weeks have gone by since the winter break.  Things keep rolling along in Late Immersion french.  Students worked on a new set of vocabulary words, the quiz was this past wednesday, and les adjectifs possessifs, as well as listening activities relating to meeting people you know in public.  We will be begin working on the Concours d'art oratoire, the french language public speaking contest, in the following weeks.   No homework due for class, but students may begin thinking of what they would like to write a speech about for the concours. 

Dec 09, 09 - Don't forget to practice your french holiday songs, Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls.  We want to put a good show at the student showcase. 

Dec 07, 09 - Term 1 is now done and Term 2 is underway.  Keep checking in for updates.

November 27, 09 - Final copy of research paper is due Tuesday December 1, 09.  Don't forget to use bonpatron.com, an excellent french corrector that shows you your mistakes.  La Rentree is due today.  Please have it handed in as soon as possible.

November 25, 09 - Come see if you have any missing work.  All assignments for Term 1 must be handed in by Wednesday, December 2, 09.

November 24, 09 - Rough Draft of research need to be completed for class Thrusday Nov 26, 09, we will then be typing them up on the computers and doing our corrections with Bonpatron.com.  La Rentree work booklet can be handed in if you have completed the booklet, please have the booklet handed in by Friday, even though we don't have french class, you  may hand it in during homeroom or at the end of the day.

November 18, 09 - Vocabulary test has been moved to Tuesday November 24, 09.  If you have any questions, please come see me and we can work through them.  La Rentree workbooklet needs to be completed and handed in for Friday November 27, 09.  If you have any questions, please come see me and we can work through them.  If you may need more time, please come see me and we`ll work something out.   

November 3, 09 - Sorry for the lack of updates.  Students are still working on their research projects, we've taken a few breaks from it to work on verrbs and sentences in our La Rentree booklet.  Students have had time to work on the booklet in class and the rest of it will need to be done as homework.  Students may hand this in as soon as they are done. In an effort to have student read and practice their french more in the classroom, we've begun silent reading in class and I have been reading to them as well.  The best way to practice french is by reading and listening to french readings.  Please encourage your children to read in french whenever possible.

October 16, 09 - We've started a student lead research project recently.  Student will be working in groups of 2 in order to research and present a person of their choice, whether it be a sports hero, a celebrity, a scientist, what ever they choose.  The presentation style will be their choice as well.  Of coarse, this is all done in french.  A written portion will be handed in for marks and the presentation will also be graded.

Sept 25, 09 - This week we did a listening activity and some creative writing.  Students listened to the reading of an article and had to answer structured questions related to the article.  For the creative writing, students had to discribe what idea or theme they would like their homeroom to do for the upcoming pep rally.

Sept 22, 09 - Today we had our library orientation.  Students got to choose one french book to take out for the next two cycles.  We continued the class with a silent reading period.

Sept 17, 09 - We continued our work on discovering the Bescherelle.  Students complete the first portion and continued onto the second portion.  Students should be finished te second portion for tomorrow.  It is important to insure we bring our Bescherelle to class.

Sept 15, 2009 - First look at new MAC computer lab, student orientation in mac lab to follow.  La Retour workbook was handed in.
