Welcome to Ms. Curtis' Web Page

My Philosophy is: "It Takes A Whole Village To Educate A Student."

I would like to welcome you and your child to sixth grade at Rothschild Middle School. I am very excited about the start of another great year at the ROCK!

In order for your child to have a successful year at school, he/she needs to adhere to the following:

1) Come to school everyday.

2) Abide by all school and classroom rules, expectations, and procedures as outlined in the Muscogee County School District Code of Conduct Handbook, the Rothschild Middle School Handbook, and the "How to Survive in Ms. Curtis' Classroom" guide.

3) Bring the necessary TOOLS FOR LEARNING (pencils, pens, paper, notebooks, textbooks, AR books, etc.)

4) Maintain a positive, cooperative ATTITUDE!

5) Read at least 30 minutes at home each night.(RAH)

Homework will be given as reinforcement to the classroom lessons and activities that have been taught during the school day. There will also be many days when no homework is assigned to your child.

I encourage you to take an interest in your child's educational process and to visit the school/my classroom at any time, but please make sure you stop by the main office to secure a visitor's pass. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 706-569-3709 or e-mail me at
