April 5, 2010 - I hope we're all well rested from spring break.  The unit problem, page 48 and 49 of the text is due Thursday April 8, 2010.  

Feb 17, 10 - We've been exploring algebraic expressions by looking at relations, value tables and number variables.  We will be having a test for the adding and subtracting fractions test Thursday February 18 beginning period 2.

Jan 29, 10 - Adding and subtracting fractions unit is now coming to a close.  We will be scheduling a quiz in the near futur before moving onto patterns and relations. 

Jan 15, 10 - It's hard to believe that two weeks have already flown by since the winter break.  This week, we've been exploring adding and subtracting fractions using manipulatives and mathematical equations.  Students had the opportunity to work in pairs to figure it out, before completing the individual assignment. 

Dec 09, 09 - For those who have not yet handed in 3.2, please do so as soon as possible.  for homework tonight, please do Q# 1 to 6 on pg, 102 of the text.  Try as many as possible and bring your questions to class.

Dec 07, 09 - Term 1 is now done and Term 2 is underway.  If handout 3.2 was not completed in class, please finish it up for homework, due tomorrow or as soon as possible. 

November 25, 09 - Q# 1 to 10 in text, pg, 88 + 89 ready for Friday.  Come see if you've missed any work.  All assignments for term 1 must be handed in no later than 3:30 Wednesday December 2, 09.

November 24, 09 - Please bring a Hilroy/Scribbler/math Journal to class as soon as possible.  Math Quiz Wednesday Dec 2.

November 18, 09 - Handout 1.1 is now due.  Please have it handed in as soon as you are complete the handout.  Any outstanding handouts must be handed in no later than December 4, 09.

November 03, 09 - Sorry for the lack of updates.  We are now working through divisibility rules.  Students have had the opportunity to work through questions in class and ask questions where their was confusion.  Today we will continuing with divisibility rules for 3 and 9. 

October 16, 2009 - This week we we finished up our first unit, l'analyse des donnees, or stats.  Students worked through their first test.  Next weeek we will be beginning our second unit, fractions decimals and percents.  Have a good weekend.

Sept 30, 09 - Yesterday, we began our exploration of Aberrant values in number sets.

Sept 28, 09 - Students worked on hand out 7.2 regarding median and range.  If not completed in class, it is for homework due next class.

Sept 25, 09 - This week we continued working on Median and range, La medianne et l'etendu.  Students worked on questions 1 as an exit slip and 2 and 3 as an aquiring activity.

Sept 22, 09 - After completing the handout 7.1, which was returned today.  Students began exploring Median and Range using cusinaire rods.

Sept 15, 09 - Quick review of mean and mode.  Worked on questions 1-6 in our math texts.

Sept 14, 09 - Today we began our exploration of mean and mode.
