Hello 5-1 parents, How much FUN we had on Asia Day! Thank you for all of your support! It was a wonderful time right before Halloween. I really could not have "pulled it off" without all of your help. This week we begin with All Saints Parade tomorrow at 2:00 and we have to have all students dressed and ready to go by then. If any of you would like to come in and help with costumes, please feel free. On Tuesday our class is responsible for homeless lunches. Please send in the items listed on the form I sent home more than a week ago. Mrs. Pickerel is in charge and has a master list of what was assigned to whom. Parents should call the office this week to set up an appointment for next week's parent conferences. I hope all of you have done so. Also, next week is our field trip to the Marine Corps Museum. Pray for sunny autumn weather. Finally, all teachers are being asked to enforce the dress code. Please review the guidelines on the online handbook. Dress code includes jewelery and nail polish and socks which are not to be "rolled" down. Belts and tucked in shirts are also being enforced. No sneakers should be worn with the dress uniform. I will be talking to students about proper dress this week . Please do a quick inspection on the way out the door. Thank you. Have a great week! Donna Lang |
