May 10, 2010 - With the school year coming to a close, things sure are picking up steam.  With exams approaching, students may experience an increase in homework over the next few weeks.  Currently, we are looking at probability trees and how they are used to predict theoretical probability.  Today's classwork is to be completed as homework.  Please finish up questions 1 -7 from the text, page 287 and 288, due next class.

April 5, 2010 - I hope we're all well rested from spring break.  The unit problem, page 48 and 49 of the text is due Wednesday April 7, 2010.  

Feb 17, 10 - We've been exploring algebraic expressions by looking at relations, value tables and number variables.  We will be having a retest for the adding and subtracting fractions test Thursday February 18 at lunch hour.  If you decide to not take the retest, please do your corrections as you will miss out on many points.

Jan 29, 10 - We have been working on Adding and subtracting fractions over the last few weeks and we're now ready for a Quiz.  The Quiz will be Tuesday February 2nd.  Noon hours will be available for any review questions you may have.  Good luck everyone.

Dec 07, 09 - Term 1 is now done and term 2 is underway.  If you still haven't completed handout 3.2, please ensure to have that in as soon as possible.  Stay tuned for more updates. 

November 20, 09 - Math quiz incorporating divisibility rules and fractions decimals and percents will be Wednesday, Dec 2, 09. 

November 18, 09 - Handout 3.0 should now be handed in.  3.1 has been handed out, but has not been taken in yet.  It will be due for Monday November 23, 09.  Any outstanding assignments must be handed in no later than December 4, 09.

November 03, 09 - Sorry for the lack of updates.  Students have been working on divisibilitiy rules, going through many different examples in class and having the opportunity to ask many questions.  Today we are working on the first booklet for marks dealing with divisibility rules. 

October 16, 09 - This week we finished up our first unit, L'analyse des donnees, or stats.  Students worked through their first test.  Next week we will be beginning our second unit, fractions deciamls and pourcents.  Have a good weekend.  

Sept 30, 09 - Yesterday, we began our exploration of Aberrant values in number sets.

Sept 28, 09 - Handout activity 7.2 regarding median and range was started in class.  If not completed in class, it is for homework due next class.

Sept 25, 09 - This week we began with an exploration of median and range, la moyenne et l'etendu.  Students completed questions 1 as an exit slip and 2 and 3 in their text books as an aquiring activity. 

Sept 17, 09 - Today, students were assigned their textbooks for the year.  Students went home with their textbooks and textbook contracts.  Both parents and students must sign the contract and return it to me as soon as possible.  Together, we corrected questions 1 - 6 and as an exit slip, students described what mean and mode are, using an example they created.

Sept 15, 09 - Today we began our stats unit dealing with mean and mode.  Worked on questions 1 and 2 in our text books.
