iLEAP and LEAP Testing next week:  April 12-16

*Reminders*

  • Make certain your child gets a good night's sleep and a good breakfast each day.
  • Make each morning pleasant and relaxing.  Encourage your child to do his or her best.
  • Get your child to school on time.  Please don't schedule appointments next week.
  • Remind your child to listen to instructions carefully and to read each question carefully.
  • Encourage your child to focus on the test, even if other students finish early.

November Guidance Lessons

Conquering Bullies-  This lesson will help students develop and practice skills that enable them to deal effectively with people exhibiting bullying behaviors.  12 jungle animals are used in the lesson.  Each represents a bullying-type behavior.  Students then role-play problem situations and explore ways to deal with these behaviors.

 

 

October Guidance Lessons

3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be exploring careers in October in preparation for our upcoming Career Day October 29.

They will be completing an interest inventory on Careers and building "Career Sundaes"!!

Information about our writing contest was sent home.  Encourage your child to participate.  Essays are due October 16.

 

 

September Guidance Lessons

3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students explored issues of how to treat one another with caring and compassion through the Don't Laugh at Me program.  The objectives are to develop empathy in children and build their awareness of actions that constitute put-downs and put-ups.
