Alternative Suspension Program (ASP) Henderson Independent High School (Mrs. Tanya H. Dixon-Neely, Alternative Suspension Coordinator) Welcome to ASP Since an effective citizen is a self-disciplined person, the long-range goal of all students must be self- discipline. The administrator may assign students to ASP as an alternative to out of school suspension. Parents and guardians are notified, and teachers are responsible for getting assignments to students who have been placed in the program. All classroom assignments must be completed and turned in to his/her teachers within the time allowed. Students will receive full credit only for work completed during the suspension. The ASP has created an atmosphere where suspended students can remain in an academic environment and make up missed assignments during their suspensions. Students are responsible for making up their suspension days by attending the ASP Suite as scheduled. It is encouraged that all students attending ASP come with a positive attitude. We want you to be successful. This is an opportunity for you to complete assignments that you would miss if not in school. |
