Reading and Phonics: This week we will be  re- reading the story “Splash” where we will be working with short e words and reviewing all short vowels.  We will also be focusing on the story’s comprehension, sequence and identifying the stories vocab.

Grammar: We will continue to learn more about nouns, and irregular plural nouns

Spelling ***Spelling tests are every Friday***We are thankful for all your hard work…so no spelling test this week!

Handwriting: We will be working with all the short vowels.

Math: We will be starting Chapter 5 which deals with mixed addition and subtraction skills.

***From next week on you will see the students coming home 3xs a week with a 25 question 2 minute time test. We are trying to increase accuracy along with speed in computation.

***Please practice math facts we send home weekly home for speed and accuracy***

Those facts will be tested on Friday’s spelling test.

Social Studies: We will learn about the history of Thanksgiving.

Science: We will learn about weather and rain.

Please send in a healthy snack for our early dismissal day on Wednesday, November 25!

A healthy snack will be provided each day. If you would like, please pack a small water bottle for snack time.  

Every week we will send home the book in a bag, which should be brought back the following Monday.
