OUR FIRST MOTHERS' GUILD MEETING is October 19th beginning at 6:45 (refreshments) with meeting beginning at 7PM; and remember that our fearless leader, the wonderful Carol Smith, has initiated the 1 HOUR MEETING!!!! We would like to have GREAT attendance so please join us! Don't forget that attending a Mothers' Guild meeting counts as one hour of volunteer time!!!


26 Week Club tickets are ON SALE!!! You can buy them after all masses this weekend or contact Susan Lueck (462-2677) for more information. You can win more than once because your ticket goes back in the pot even after you've won!!

The SCRIP CARD PROGRAM is ongoing throughout the school year and it is the easiest fundraiser in which you can participate AND IT COSTS YOU NOTHING.

Just buy the gift cards through this program and use those same cards to spend what you would normally spend (like a grocery store card or a Barnes & Noble card) and St. Mary's will receive a percentage of your purchase – it’s that simple! Just sign up for the program either via the website (link is located at the bottom of this page) or thru Patty Yereance (her number's below). She has cards available for almost all local grocery stores, Barnes & Noble, Dunkin Donuts, Bath and Body Works, Starbucks and more. ****** Purchasing these cards for Christmas gifts is a GREAT gift idea too! You'll be supporting the school as well as giving a gift and it cost you nothing extra!!! So, start buying those SCRIP cards, if you haven't already!!!

HOW DO YOU BUY THE CARDS YOU ASK????? You can pre-order by filling out a form (provided by Patty or sometimes found in the brown envelope) and send in the form and check (written out to St. Mary's Mothers' Guild) and send it to Patty through the school.

You can also pre-order the cards using the SCRIP CARD website (link can be found below). Be sure to enter the Enrollment Code for St. Mary's School which you can get from Patty (298-1153). After you enroll, simply place your order online for the card you desire and print the final order sheet and return that form with your check made out to St. Mary's Mothers' Guild to Patty Yereance c/o Daniel Gr. 5. You select how you would like the cards delivered, either in the weekly Brown Envelope, or you may pick them up at the school office. For forms or additional information, please contact Patty Yereance 298-1153.

AND DON'T FORGET OUR VERY SUCCESSFUL THRIFT SHOP!!! Remember the goal is for every family to work the thrift shop AT LEAST once in the school year... and more if you can. The thrift shop has made over $30K for the school, and the continued success comes from parents willing to volunteer every so often, so that the burden doesn't fall on a few. The Thrift Shop is only open two days a week, Tuesday and Saturday from 10AM to 2PM, and signing up to work is what's going to keep this very effective fundraiser and community service going. Please contact Shannon Shoemaker (914-407-4549 or jsjmshoe@yahoo.com)to find out what days need filling. We need at least two people each Tuesday and Saturday to work. Don't forget that working at the Thrift Shop counts as five (5) hours of volunteer time!!! That's 1/3 of your required hours!!!!! So thanks in advance for your help!
