Welcome to Grade 6 Math!!!
I will post homework assignments on a regular basis on this web page. Parents can expect their grade 6 math student to have math homework 4 days a week. Most of the homework I assign will be in the student's math book (I will identify the pages and questions each day on this web page). So, you should see the math book going back and forth from school to home on a regular basis. There are examples in each section of the book, and students have the answers to the odd numbered problems in the back of their books. I will assign homework ONLY on sections of the book which we have gone over in class. The homework will be used to reinforce the concepts students are learning in class. Students will be having quizzes in math class on a regular basis, usually about once a week. Quizzes will cover the most recently taught concepts, so it is important that students keep up with their homework to ensure success. If someone leaves a math book at school and it is inconvenient to return to school click on Online Student Edition, enter the following access code to gain access to the book:

There are great resources online for parents and students. These include "Self Check" quizzes for students that cover every section of every chapter, practice chapter tests for students for each chapter of the book, and under "Personal Tutor" parents can watch examples of how concepts are presented in class.
