                     WELCOME TO K1!

        Welcome to Mrs. Fitzsimmons' site.

This week we will review letters learned thus far.   Proper letter formation, sound correlation, and letter identification will be addressed. Our sight words this week are "two" and "three".  Please cut out each week's word and save for review at home.

Math lessons will continue with sets, data, and graphing.  Graphing information starts at the bottom or left side.  Students must look to see where the words are to signal where to begin color graph.

The Thanksgiving Feast was a success.   Thank you for sending in supplies/food.

A permission slip was sent home regarding a field trip in March.  Please send in the form and check as soon as possible so that we can purchase the tickets. All forms/checks must be in by Friday, December 4th.Thank you!

       Have a great week!

******************************
Monthly calendars are sent home to keep you informed about our daily special such as physical education, art, computers, library, or World Language. Please note the AM and PM schedules differ and Frank J. Smith works on a six day cycle.

Homework will begin this week, 9/14. It is assigned nightly Monday through Thursday. It will be in the "Bring Back" side of the folder and to be returned nightly. Generally the homework consists of a math practice book page and a communication arts worksheet. The children will need the directions read to them but should be able to complete the work independently as it is a reinforcement of previous lessons.

The children are practicing to write their names the "kindergarten way". They will begin their names with an uppercase letter followed by lowercase letters. An example was sent home. Please help your child with this task at home.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
