What an exciting New Year!

I hope you have all enjoyed the snow days as much as I did.  What an exciting time to spend with our children!  We have no official make up days at this time, but we certainly will be working to make up those days soon.  

We are taking a pause in our study of North Carolina to enjoy a l
change of pace.  We will be studying one of my favorite Science subjects:  electricity and magnetism.   For the next few weeks your child will be finding out what electricity is and how it moves and works.  Don't worry though, any hands on activities that we do will be closely monitored and extremely safe.  

I have added a few new websites at the bottom of the page for you and your child to explore.  Hope you enjoy them together.

Don't forget how important it is for your child to be reading every night.  Each student should be reading at least 30 minutes.  Nothing will help your child grow as a reader as much as a nightly reading time.

Also, a math reminder, your child should always have 30 minutes of math homework.  If your child doesn't have a worksheet to complete, then they are expected to  fill the 30 minutes with their accelerated math homework.  There are very few students who have completed all of their accelerated math objectives.  If you have questions about this, please feel free to write me  a note or stop by.

 
Almost all parents want to know,"What time is lunch?"  I know how you love to visit your favorite students at lunch time; so, here's the specials schedule, including lunch.
