Friday, June 1 is NOT a school day for Kindergarten.  We have our end of the year program on Wednesday, May 30 at 7:00pm in the Church.  More details to follow

Please return your signed permission form for Goodwill Games. I still  need 2 more!

Please send in a 2-liter of pop AND a regular size bag of chips... OR $3.00 for an out-of-uniform day THIS WEDNESDAY (to support the festival).

Please return all library books on Wednesday.  We will not be checking out books on Wednesday, but all books should be returned to the library this week! 

The children are very excited about the Little Readers.  Some of them are doing 1, 2, or even 3 books each night.  If you want me to send home more with your child, please send a note!  They (and you) are doing a great job!  I have had 6 students finish the Little Reader Program!  WOW!!!  What great readers they are!

We had 2 more students join our 'shoe-tying club' this week.  Congratulations to those 2 boys!  We are so proud of them!  If your child is not in the shoe-tying club, please continue to work with him/her to receive his/her prize bag and certificate.

NEW:

Each day we review coins including the penny, nickel, dime, and quarter.  The children should be able to identify each coin and know its value.  Also count coins up to 4-5 coins at a time.

We also skip count by 2's, 5's, and 10's.  Have your child practice at home.

PLEASE REVIEW:

Words to review: the, a, my, like, I, am, go, we, on to, you, have, do, what, see, no, look, come, for, me, here, are,  color words (red, yellow,orange, green, purple, blue, brown, black), number words to ten (one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten)

Letters to review (including sounds): ALL!!

Please review papers with your child as they come home.

Please review letters/sounds/words with your child.

Please practice printing the letters we have learned so farwith your child.

Read the little book sent home often!

Please help your child practice tying his/her shoes. A few minutes a day can help them a lot!! They can be in the 'shoe tying club!'

REMINDERS:

Please send a note with your child if his/her transportation plans should change.

When you empty your child's work baggie, please go over the papers with your child so he/she can see and understand any mistakes.

Don't forget to pack weather appropriate outerwear (jackets, hats, etc.) for recess.

Don't forget to put you child's name on everything!

Please remember to send a snack every day!

We have recess each day at 11:30 followed by lunch at 11:50.
