Please return the conference form as soon as possible!  Please return even if you do not need a conference!

There is not a late start on Wednesday......Your child should arrive at school at regular time!! 

Wednesday is library day!!!

We are doing a project in Science that uses knee highs.  If you could send any in, it would be appreciated.

NEW:

When you prepare Valentines for your child to give out at the party, please just put "From" with your child's name.  Do not wrtie them specifically to each student in the class.  This will make it much easier for them to hand them out.

Each day we review coins including the penny, nickel, dime, and quarter.  The children should be able to identify each coin and know its value. 

We also skip count by 2's, 5's, and 10's.  Have your child practice at home.

Candy Grams are being sold this week for $0.25 each.

The kids are doing GREAT with the Little Readers!  Thank you!  I receive a book/paper from almost every child every day!  That is just AWESOME!!

Please continue reading the Little Readers with your child.  Return the book and the completed worksheet in the baggie provided.  The kids are so excited to go to the prize box every time they complete 5 books!!!

New letters: Bb, Kk, Oo

Please send your child with appropriate clothing for the colder weather (coat, hats, gloves).  We go out each day as long as it is not raining!! 

Please record your child's reading on the February Lap Reading form. 

Please blend words with your child. Ex: /c/ /a/ /t/ =cat

Please practice printing with your child.

Words to review: the, a, my, like, I, am, go, we, on to, you, have, do, what, color words (red, yellow,orange, green, purple, blue, brown, black)

Letters to review (including sounds): Mm, Rr, Ss, Tt, Cc, Pp, Aa, Nn, Dd, Ff, Ii, Gg, Hh, Ll, Bb, Kk, Oo

Please continue reading with your child and record your books on your Lap Reading packets.

Please review papers with your child as they come home.

Please review letters/sounds/words with your child.

Please practice printing the letters we have learned so farwith your child.

Read the little book sent home often!

Please help your child practice tying his/her shoes. A few minutes a day can help them a lot!! They can be in the 'shoe tying club!'

REMINDERS:

Please send a note with your child if his/her transportation plans should change.

When you empty your child's work baggie, please go over the papers with your child so he/she can see and understand any mistakes.

Don't forget to pack weather appropriate outerwear (jackets, hats, etc.) for recess.

Don't forget to put you child's name on everything!

Please remember to send a snack every day!

Friday:mass, gym, music, computers

We have recess each day at 11:30 followed by lunch at 11:50.
