April 5, 2010 - Ensure that your student has brough in their intention forms for the Vive le Manitoba week, for those students not attending the Quebec trip.  Permission slips need to be brought in ASAP.  Thank you.

Feb 17, 10 - Well we didn't have any luck in winning any prizes during spirit week, but are participation level's were great.  We averaged out at 75% participation in the class for each day of Spirit week.  Way to show your spirit 8-21, good job.  Stay tuned for more info and updates.

Jan 29, 10 - Next week is the Spirit Week here at River Heights, beginning Monday with PJ day, no slippers please due to Fire Safety or other concerns.  Tuesday will be Decade Day, dress up like a kid from another decade.  Wednesday will be Mismatch Day, wear your clothes backwards or inside out or mismatching.  Thursday will be Crayon day, our classroom color is White.  Colors where picked out of a hat for fairness.  Friday is theme day as well as a Gym blast Olympiad in the afternoon.  Our theme will be decided early next week and our country for the Olympiad is Norway, colors Red and Blue.  Make sure to dress up and participate as prizes are being awarded for best participation, etc.

Jan 15, 10 - Congratulations to Augusta Redekop and Ainslee Heim for particiapting in the Canspell School Wide Spelling Bee.  Well Done girls.

November 03, 09 - We had a very successful Halloween morning, with two students from our room taking third and first place in the costume contest.  Students participated in the Halloween soc-hop as well as the mummy wrap.  It really was an exciting morning. 

We also had a successful trip to cinemental on October 27, seeing the movie A vos marque...Party! 2.  It was a great movie and students behaved themselves very well downtown and throughout the movie. Good job River Heights!

October 16, 09 - Today was the Walk-a-Thon and we couldn't have asked for a better day to have it.  Although it was cold to start, the sun came out as we walked.  Looks like everyone had fun.

Sept 30, 09 - Today is the Walk-a-Thon Pep Rally.  We've decided as a class to dress up in blue jeans and a blue or white shirt.  Together we made a banner with our homeroom number and slogan, "8-21 Knows How to Have Raise Funds". It was good to see everyone dressed the same, participation was excellent!

Sept 28, 09 - Zoo trip was a success.  Students really seemed to enjoy themselves.  Picture proofs and order forms have gone home, students need to return them to the school with payment or retake order forms by Monday, Oct 5.  Don't forget the student description forms still need to come in.  Keep the school updated on vital information. 

Sept 25, 09 - Don't forget your zoo permission slips and money as well as Student Description forms. Have a good weekend and get rested. Pep Rally Wednesday Sept 30, period 5 and 6, don't forget to think of a theme/cheer!

Sept 22, 09 - Students were sent home with their Student Description Forms.  These forms should be completed and handed in to the homeroom teacher as soon as possible.

Reminder - Please hand in your zoo permission slips as well as the $5 zoo enterance and transportation fee as soon as possible.  We are heading to the zoo Monday, Sept 28 and I wouldn't want anyone to miss out.

Reminder - Please ensure that your child has paid their agenda and yearbook fee as well as provided the classroom with at least two boxes of cleanex for the year.  Thanks
