2010-2011

Dear Parents and Students:

The 2010 - 2011 school year is underway. The Day Treatment staff is looking forward to providing you with exciting academic, recreational, and social challenges. The following schedule gives you a glimpse of how our school year will flow:

1st Block - Boy's Therapeutic Recreation / Girl's Tutoring

2nd Block - Math / Boy's Tutoring

3rd Block - Language Arts / Reading and Science (1st Semester)

3rd Block - Career Preparation IV / VoTech (2nd Semester)

4th Block - Character Education and Life Skills

Technology will be integrated into differentiated instruction-based classes, with some programs being interactive. Students will work in small groups or with partners as they build academic and social skills. Cognitive-behavioral interventions strategies will be taught during the social skills training class and practiced throughout the day. The Day Treatment team (Dr. Bishop, Ms. Graham, and Mr. Coleman) will model select behaviors practiced by students in an effort to reinforce the students' learning.  Parents are also encouraged to work with students on desired behaviors--at home and in the community. Together we can do this!

We anticipate an outstanding 2010-2011 school year.
