Books are circulated for a period of one week. When a book is returned, a student may select a new one. If books are not returned, students may save a book, and then take it home, once the old book is returned.

Books that are lost must be paid for in cash according to District policy, or replaced, in kind, with a hardcover book. Paperback books may not replace hardcover books.

Books that are damaged beyond repair must be paid for, or replaced, as per the above policy. This includes badly torn pages, water damage, coloring, and damage to the spine or cover by pets. The librarian will determine is a book is able to be repaired, or must be replaced.

Kindergarten students attend Library for a 40-minute period. First through 4th grade students come once a week for 30 minutes, and 5th grade students come twice a week.

Third grade students also come for one additional period a week with their teacher and work cooperatively in developing English Language Arts skills in preparation for the 3rd grade ELA test in May.
