APRIL: SPRING HAS SPRUNG! THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PURCHASED PLANTS AND SEEDS FOR THE CHILDREN'S EARTH DAY PROJECT! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN OUR WORK PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO VISIT THE GARDENS! THE CHILDREN DID A WONDERFUL JOB! 5th grade- This month students have been learning about earthquakes! We were even able to simulate an earthquake in the science lab! We will be learning about volcanoes this month too! 6th grade- This month we are learning about the atmosphere! Did you know WE are the reason for the depletion of the ozone?? Your children will be able to explain how and why there is a hole in our ozone. We will then move on to how air moves in the atmosphere. 7th grade- DNA? Mutations? The seventh graders will be learning how DNA works and the various genetic mutations/disorders that are present in the world today. They will become experts on one specific disorder which they will complete a project on! 8th grade- We've made it to physical science! Earlier in the month we made our own natural glue! We will continue to investigate the world of energy this month! 8th grade Religion- We are preparing for the Religion Fair! The eighth graders will become an expert on the life of one saint. We will be completing various projects to help teach the younger students about the saints! |
