Dear Families,
It was wonderful meeting you on Back to School Night and it was great seeing some of you again! Our year is off to a great start and the children are very happy and getting used to the everyday routine! They have adjusted very well.
Couple of things that I have been talking to my students about lately is their chattiness! Please talk to them about how important it is not to talk when the teacher or an adult is talking. Also, some of my students have not been completing the homework assignments on a nightly basis. Please try to complete the homework and if for some reason something came up and the homework could not be done, please send me an e-mail or a note in the planner!
Reading regrouping began on Tuesday, Sept. 15th. The students transitioned very well and they are ready to soak up everything! I hope this enthusiasm for learning continues!
THANK YOU!! All of you have signed up for November conferences which is on Thursday, November 5th (no school for students).
I enjoy working together with you to ensure the success of your child academically and socially. I strongly believe that if we work together, the children will succeed. I am here for the children and for you!
Our First Grade mission statement: We will be ready for second grade by June 2010!
Our First Grade vision statement: In First Grade, we will be caring, cooperative and safe. We will work hard and help others as we learn. We will help each other be sucCESSful!
Please make sure your child continues to bring in the needed supplies labeled with their first and last name. Way to cougars!!
