I will be visiting freshman homerooms to let them know what is needed for graduation:
28 credits which includes 4=English, 4=Math, 4= Science, 4=History, 1=Health/PE, 1=Art Credit and 12 other electives. They Must pass the End of Course Test with a 3 or 4, and they must pass English I, Biology, Civics/Economics, US History, and Algebra I.
4 English classes includes English I, II, III, and IV. 4 Maths includes Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and a math higher than Algebra II. 4 Sciences include Earth/Environmental, Biology, Chemistry or a Physical Science, and another science. The 4 History classes includes World History, Civics/Economics, US History, and another history. The student must have an art credit which could be band, chorus, or art I class.
Also I will be talking to them about their attendance at school and if they miss 8 or more days that they will not get credit for their class that they are currently taking this semester.

Make sure that students wanting to go to college they must sign up for the SAT or ACT test, the information is in the guidance office.

All student-athletes who think they may want to play in college need to fill out a clearinghouse form which is online at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net and follow the instructions online. This can be done during their junior or senior year. Also please let Mr. Tenborg in guidance know so he can send off the official transcript to them.

Also a list of miniority scholarships has been passed out to all Senior homeroom teachers so that the students will be able to look up certain scholarship information during homeroom. I have two list that they can look at in my office and write them down to look at while they have free time during their lunch period.
