Hello and welcome to Mrs. Thompson's C.P. III SchoolNotes page!
This is an opportunity to keep parents and students updated on what is going on in class on a day to day basis.
Since the begin of the semester, we have been spending our Tuesdays and Thursdays in the computer lab working on the research paper component of the senior graduation project; a project set up by the Rowan-Salisbury School System. The school system requires all students  complete this in order to be eligible to graduate. We have used this opportunity to work on note-taking skills, thesis statements, research guidelines, basic writing skills, and MLA style citations.
In the classroom itself, we have already studied both the American Indian and the Puritans.  We are now beginning to delve into the "Romantics." This genre includes gothic, romantic, and transcendental writings.
