February Guidance News Classes: During February, the primary grades will complete a unit on safety and good health habits. Second grade will focus on appreciating the differences and the diversity in others. Upper grades will complete a short unit on substance abuse. In addition, the fifth grade will finish their Family Life program. NED Assembly: On February 1st, the students will be treated to the character education program "The Ned Show." The program will review the character traits of persistence, kindness, and diligence. Students will learn that NED stands for "Never give up!, Encourage others!, and Do your best!" Character Trait of the Month: Respect means to treat others with consideration and courtesy. It is showing regard for other people, for authority, and for yourself.
