June 8, 2010 Illustrations of human rights as well as family migration history are due on Monday March 15th. Please be ready to present. (March 12, 2010) Latitude maps are back in students hands and they may complete missing components for 1/2 the points. Touristique brochures are now due and will be corrected over the weekend. Great work from what I have seen so far. We are now starting our unit on intercultural relations. (February 18, 2010) Climat and Vegetation quizes have gone home for signature, please return them signed on Jan. 7th, 2009. For those of you who have obtained a grade of 50% or lower you will be expected to complete a small project to demonstrate your knowlege of the subject. This assignment will be done out of class and will be assigned in the next week. Please note that if you have not yet taken the Climats and Vegetation quiz you are expected to do so tomorrow (Jan 7th, 2010) at lunch in my classroom. Please be prepared as there is no make-up test for this evaluation. Fuseau horaire assignments in the booklet are due on Jan 7th. (Jan 6th, 2010) Great job on the climats and vegetation quiz today! For those of you however, who are already thinking of a make up test I would like to reiterate that the questions for this test were released over a week ago and all the information is in your notes. (Dec. 17, 2009) I appologize for the emergency absence today. I know you were all anxious to correct the assignments on Latitude and Longitude as well as the Map on the Bodies of Water of the World. This assignment will be corrected in class on Tuesday November 8th so please have it ready. (Dec. 4, 2009) As you all know report card season is upon us. Please make sure you have handed in all of your assignments. I will be holding homework make up sessions which you are expected to attend if you have any outstanding assignments. In the intrest of your academic success please make yourselves available. Make up session: Friday Nov 27 - Lunch Monday Nov 30- Lunch and 3:30 - 4:15 Tuesday December 1 - Lunch Wednesday December 2 - Lunch and 3:30 - 4:15 Additional session will be added as needed. ( Nov 24, 2009) We have had classes to research one of the world's many natural wonders. This assignment if incomplete is due on Friday November 20th. (November 18, 2009) Island projects were due on Monday November 16th. In the passed few weeks we have been looking at mapping and the different elemets of the map. Students have completed or are completing two in-class assignment where they have 1) created a map using specific instructions and 2) created a legend for a thematic map by completing a short research in an atlas and inventing suitable symbols for their legend. We are now starting a final project on the unit of mapping in which students will create their own map of an invented island. This assignement will mostly be done in class and a due date has not yet been established. (November 3, 2007) Make up test! You make take a make up test for Quiz#1 at lunch on Monday October 19th. Please note that you must hand in your first quiz signed by a parent before taking the make up quiz.(October 14th, 2009) Please remember to have your quiz signed by a parent and returned to me by Tuesday October 14th.(October 13th, 2009) _______________________________________________The first quiz has come and gone and we will be scheduling a retake for those who wish to start over after the long weekend.
