Great job on the climats and vegetation quiz today! For those of you however, who are already thinking of a make-up test, I would like to reiterate that the questions for this test were released over a week ago and all the information is in your notes. There will not be a make-up test for this quiz but you will be allowed to complete a short research to make up for lost points.

Island projects are due Monday November 16th.

In the passed few weeks we have been looking at mapping and the different elemets of the map. Students have completed or are completing two in-class assignment where they have  1) created a map using specific instructions and 2) created a legend for a thematic map by completing a short research in an atlas and inventing suitable symbols for their legend.

We are now starting a final project on the unit of mapping in which students will create their own map of an invented island. This assignement will mostly be done in class and a due date has not yet been established.
