Welcome to the Homework page for Sciences de la Nature 8-20

Exam review booklets have been handed out and review has begun. Please take advatage of lunch time and afterschool tutoring if you need it. I am available everyday until the exam with the exception of Thursday June 10th (away all day for ELA marking) and Friday June 11th afterschool (away for professional development).

Heart dissection are complete and we are finishing the review for our Cells and Systems unit. A test will be announced on Monday. Please be sure to have handed in your lab report for Frequence Cardiac et Rhythm Respiratoire as well as your Énoncés sur la Circulation.

No homework over the Winter break. However, as you are gobbling down that holiday turkey (or tofurkey) and unreasonable amounts of holiday dainties please consider how these affect and are being treated by your organs and your digestive system.

As you all know report card season is upon us. Please make sure you have handed in all of your assignments. I will be holding homework make up sessions which you are expected to attend if you have any outstanding assignments. In the intrest of your academic success please make yourselves available.

Make up session:

Friday Nov 27 - Lunch

Monday Nov 30- Lunch and 3:30 - 4:15

Tuesday December 1 - Lunch

Wednesday December 2 - Lunch and 3:30 - 4:15

Additional session will be added as needed.

Please complete the lab report for the osmosis demonstration for tomorrow (Thursday, November 5th) You must only complete the egg portion of the assignment as we will discuss the gummy portion in class,

Your edible cells were a great success, not to mention delicious. Way to go class!

Parents, please note that the make up quiz will be going home with students for signature on November 4th. Please sign and return as soon as possible.

A make up test for for the quiz on Cells will take place at lunchtime on Monday, October 26th. Students must have their first test signed by a parent in order to take the make up test. Students will have a choice to re-write either the first page or the second page of the test, they will not be allowed to rewrite both.

As announced in class on Friday, the first quiz will take place on Wednesday October 14th and will cover: Celllular Theory, Particle Theory, Characteristics of living things, Animal and vegetable cells and all of their parts, and different cell categories.
