Welcome to the ELA 7-21 Homework page.Keep up the good work on the Exam, you're doing great! June 8, 2010 My apologies for the hiatus, we have had some techonological issues at the school which have made updating the homework blog very challenging. There have been a few assignments due since my last update. I am still waiting on a few National Geographic article responses which were due before Spring Break so please check your lockers to make sure you have handed this assignment in. Your second book reports and Diamente poems were due in class today Monday, April 19th. We are currently working on a song analysis in our Global Citizenship unit. If you have not already done so please ensure that you have picked a song for social change to research during our next class. (Wednesday, April 21st.) (April 19, 2010) A reminder that there is a book report due on Friday March 19th. Please come and choose your format if you have not already done so. You may choose a book that you have read in the last term. We are now working on our Global Citizenship Unit which focuses on our ability to make textual connection. There have been no assignments to date. (March 12, 2010) Brainstorms, plans, first and second drafts for our Reviews are complete and we are in the process of editing for spelling and grammar and completing our final drafts. Students will need to complete these at home if they do not finish in the next work period (tomorrow). Final drafts are due on Tuesday February 23rd. (February 18, 2010) Thank you to those who have handed in The Outsiders reader response. Tomorrow ( Jan. 7, 2010) is draw day for your reading requirements. Please have your reading list ready. I would also like you to return all Zine paragraphs to your folders to ensure that you have all the necessary material upon assembly. We will be preparing for CanSpell for the remainder of the class. (Jan 6, 2010) Your reader response for The Outsiders is due on January 6th, this is a summative evaluation so please check it against the rubric we looked at in class. Upon our return we will be holding the draw for fulfilling the reading requirements, a belated holiday bonus to buy that book you desperatly wanted but didn't get. Please have your reading list ready and complete with the number of pages in each book you have read. Happy Holidays! I hope you enjoy your well deserved break. (Dec. 17, 2009) Please note that you have an extention for The Outsiders. This does mean that you are expected to have completed the booklet for Monday December 7th. (Dec. 3, 2009) We found them! Now that you all have a copy of The Outsiders you are expected to finish reading the book for Thursday December 3rd.
