Week of April 30, 2012 Wow, so much is happening! Last Friday was the Talent Show. We began the month of May by honoring the Blessed Mother with the May Crowning. The Battle of the Books, sponsored by the Baldwin-Whitehall libraries was held, and we were the winners! A team of 5th grade boys won the junior division, and a team of 6th grade girls were the senior division winners. Title Tacklers The Sweetheart Readers 1. Austin Bechtold 1. Christina Grassi 2. Colin Ruggieri 2. Megan Birch 3. James Marks 3. Rachel Bridge 4. Alex Territ 4. Angela Zenchak 5. Wylie Haddad 5. Frannie Andreola On Wednesday night we enjoyed the performances of the 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders in the Spring Song Fest blending the old and the new. I also have to tell you the results of the 5th Grade Marble Tournament. The final match came down to Alex Territ vs Austin Bechtold. Alex was our champion, but all our 5th graders were winners with the way they tried. This Friday, Mrs. Kvocka will provide our 5th graders with their Junior Achievement experience for this year. Mrs. Baughman will be here next Monday and Tuesday afternoons for the 3rd grade Junior Achievement presentation. Finally, the 5th graders will build their bridges on Monday afternoon and test them on May 10, 2012 with Mr. Lostetter. While all this is happening your children are still working so hard in class everyday. |
