Language Arts

We will be working in our grammar books this week on identifying modifiers (adjectives/adverbs, using good vs. well, misplaced and dangling modifiers).  There will be a test on Friday over this material.

The book requirement for this 9 weeks is to read 6 books.  Students may complete a book report form or take and pass an AR test to receive credit for each book read.  Many students are behind in their reading, and it will negatively impact their grade.

GA Studies

We are working in chapter 7 of the textbook, the Antebellum period.  We will have a test over this chapter next week. 

Current events are still due each Thursday, and I will provide an article that students may use or they may use one of their own found from the newspaper or internet news site.  The NJHS is collecting school supplies to be sent to the people of Haiti by the American Red Cross.  Students may bring in school supplies for the next two weeks in place of turning in a current event article.
