Mon.    - Use five vocabulary words from the Story Vocabulary Theme sheet to create a description about an animal.

Tues.    - Do both sides of the math worksheet.  Adding Doubles Plus One and Doubles to 20.

Wed.    - Complete the Daily Language Practice sheet.  Then on the back of the sheet write an exclamatory sentence and a sentence with a double consonant word.

Thurs.    - Solve the problems on the week 11 Math Home Practice sheet.  On the back of the sheet write down all the numbers for Wednesday in October and the tell what number you are skip counting by.

Wed.    - Complete the Using Guide Words in a Dictionary worksheet.  Then use a dictionary to find five extra words that would be on the page with the guide words used in #1.

Thurs.    - Solve problems on the Math Home Practice sheet for week 10.  Next show 3 ways to make 20 using addition and subtraction.

Tues.    - Do the Grade 2 Math Home Practice sheet for week 9.  Then continue the clock time pattern in problem #10 , this time with the pattern starting with 6:15, 6:30, 6:45, ...

Wed.    - Complete the Daily Language Practice proofreading sheet.  Then use an underlined story vocabulary word in a sentence starting with please and another sentence starting with do not.

Thurs.    - For the Main Idea and Details worksheet take a crayon and underline the main idea (topic sentence) for each paragraph.  Then take a different colored crayon and circle the detail sentences in each paragraph.

Tues.    - Complete the Compound Words worksheet.  Then list and break into two parts 4 extra compound words.

Wed.    - Solve the problems on the Math Home Practice worksheet for week #8.  Next, (on the back of the sheet) draw clocks and add half an hour to the clocks in #'s 6,7, and 8.

Thurs.    - Proofread and make corrections on the Daily Language Practice worksheet.  Also, (on the back of the sheet) rewrite sentence #1 so that it is a question sentence and sentence #2 so that it is a statement sentence.

Tues.    - Complete the Aplusmath subtraction sheet.  Then students create six more subtraction problems.

Wed.    - Do the Do You Want To Be President? social studies worksheet.  Next students list the president, vice-president of the U.S., and the governor of Florida.

Thurs.    - Solve the problems of the Math Home Practice  sheet for week 7.  Students make and solve a subtraction word problem whose answer is less than 20 (<20).

Thurs.    - Solve the problems for the week 6 Math Home Practice .  On the back of the sheet skip count by 3's from 3 to thirty.

Wed.    - Complete the Daily Language Practice sheet.  First use your editing marks to correct each sentence.  Then write the sentence on the line below.

Thurs.    - Fill in the blanks on the Coin sheet.  Students then create one subtraction and one addition number sentence using these coins.

I am going to give each student a spiral notebook to be used as a school planner.  On Monday, I will label them and give them to students.  They will use the "planners" to write down the daily homework, upcoming quizzes, and conduct grades. Please make sure your child brings these planner notebooks home every day, so you can look at them and sign them.
