Second Grade Rules & Expectations! Students will be expected to demonstrate the following in class and throughout the corridors and learning environments of HD Elementary........respectively!
 
Follow and Practice the 3 R's
Respect: To respect oneself and others.
Responsibility: Responsible for words, actions, and academics. 
 
Right Thing: To demonstrate proper actions and choices. 
 
Students will have the opportunity to pick from treasure box twice a month when earning coins for their banks, which every child has the advantage to do so daily. The discipline in our classroom correlates to the school wide rubric which is posted in each child's agenda; otherwise a great day will be marked with a Bobcat Stamp! 
 
Yellow- Warning.

Orange- Loss of Privilege

Green- Notify Parent 

Red- Parent Conference

Blue- Behavior Contract

Black- Office Referral

Parents, please be watchful of your child's agenda daily,to encourage and motivate, as well as praise the work and behavior they accomplish; or give direction needed in order to succeed in the items listed above. Each child CAN DO ALL THINGS with perseverance and diligence!
 
Parents, please make sure your child wears a belt to school each day,silent lunches have been the consequence for those repeat offenders last year and will adhere this year for those who regularly do not wear belts to school. The dress code remains until the last day of school, so please support your child in following school expectations.

Study each night for your spelling test....it is extremely important to review each night! Words will begin to become more challenging as we progress through the school year.Good luck this week and every week!


THINGS ALWAYS NEEDED AND APPRECIATED AS DONATIONS FOR CLASS USE: (WE REALLY NEED KLEENEX BOXES AND ASSORTED CANDY FOR POSITIVE INCENTIVE;REWARD BOX.)
 
1. Kleenex boxes/ paper towels 
2. Candy, stickers, and small toys for "reward box!"
3. Dry erase markers
4. Ziploc bags: all sizes 
5. index cards: white and colored
6. Pencils/pencil top erasers are always needed and always used!
