Ciao,
We are moving along very nicely. I am taking a week to learn a little about culture and ancient Rome. Grades three are learning about Pompeii and mount Vesuvius. I will be bringing in my own photos of the town and volcano. Grades 4 are learning about Roman soldiers, and making roman shields.Grades 5 are starting Roman classes. I will be splitting the children up in to social classes and we will be constructing homes according to that class. The children have a list of materials they need for the project. Grades 6 are moving on to Roman government. We will learn of the rise, decline, and fall of Rome. Grades 7 are continuing with the two important verbs: essere and avere, and then forming sentences using them. Grades 8 are forming sentences and will be moving on to past tense. This will be a long section and will require the children to focus and take time at home to review.
Thank You,
Ms. Cipriani
