     Welcome to the Room 7 class web site. We have such a great class this year! We do a lot of exciting things.  Please read on to find out about our philosophy and how we make things happen in our classroom.

 
     The goal of our classroom is to teach problem-solving skills that allow each student to become an outstanding citizen of their community.  We will accomplish this by educating each child to become a responsible person with a well-developed mind and good character. 

     We strive to follow these characteristics by creating a comfortable learning environment where students can think for themselves.  We want students to face life's joys and difficulties with tenacity and humor.  We guide them to be kind and compassionate in their dealing with others.  We want them to have a sense of justice and fairness.       

     We expect our classroom to be a place where students learn good behavior, good citizenship, and habits of mind that promote thoughtfulness and learning.  We plan to educate each child to become a responsible person with a well-developed mind and good character. 

     Throughout the year, parents are highly encouraged to participate in our educational process.

     We strive to use collaboration by utilizing a team-oriented philosophy during the course of the school year. Researchers identify a number of key characteristics that should frame consideration of any team-oriented system.  They are transparency; simplicity; innovation; flexibility; responsiveness; accountability; and stability.
