For Week of May 21, 2012

Have a Great Weekend with your family!

 We did our Lima Bean Observation and writing.  The children had fun.  Please let your child share.  I am sending four lima beans home for you to plant and enjoy at home.

Today we went to Mass we prayed for all our families and special Intentions.

Religion-Today we worked #15-20 on page 10 in our blue study Copybook.  We worked on reviewing page 11, too .  For Homework please study page 10 and 11 of our Blue Study Copy Book.  This will be a good review for our Religion Exam.  T.Y.

Phonics-WE will continue to work on contractions on Tuesday..

Reading-Today  we enjoyed listening to our story about the frogs."  We also acted out different parts with our puppets.   We even had a conversation with each of our characters.  Please have your child share. 

Language-Please have your child share some of the things we did today. 

 Spelling-We reviewed and had our Spelling Test..  Guide to be Better Spellers.   1.  LOOK at the word.                  

2.  SAY the word.

                    3. THINK about the word.

                    4. WRITE the word.

                    5. CHECK the spelling.

Math-Tuesday we will continue to work on our problem solving.

 Social Studies-We share something interesting from our Weekly Reader.

Science-Today we will drawing pictures about our seasons.  To find something interesting, you may like to go on line to www.weeklyreader.com/ed1.  Our Magic word is wiseowls.

Computer-Thank you for sending in headphones.  For homework Mrs. Coombe webpage(accessed from St. Joseph School website-stjoeschooldtown.org-follow the link-students, homework, Mrs. Coombe).

Art-Children will have Art this Wednesday.

Gym- We look forward to our next Gym Class.

Music-We are looking forward to our next Music Class.  Today we enjoyed singing special songs for Sister Regina.

Please make sure your child has five sharp pencils and two sharp red pencils everyday!  Thank you for helping them get their pencils sharpened at home.
