Unit 4: Page Design Essential Question: How do I create page layouts which are appealing to my peers? Enduring Understanding: Basic elements are contained in a page layout. These include photos, captions,, a body copy, group photos, group caption, a header, and folio. Photos should be placed to the center of a page with text surrounding it. Key Vocabulary: 1/2 page layout, portrait page, pica, caption, body copy, page division, eyeline, elements, full page layout, 2-page layout, gutter, headline, 'X', template Word of the Week: Contrast FOL: Human Ingenuity, Approaches to Learning Language Goal: Students will examine page design using traditional and computer software methods. Each student will create 3 of 4 page designs(1/2 page, portrait page, full page, and 2-page) Assessment: Each student will create 3 of the 4 page designs. One design must be done using traditional methods, and at least one must be done using the online program. This is Spirit Week- Dress accordingly and bring you cameras to take pictures!! Folder check Friday 11-4. Working in the Bates Computer Lab Monday- Thursday to complete page designs. |
