November 2009

Our 8th graders are studying and summarizing the causes and effects of the Revolutionary War.  They will also learn the First 10 Amendments to the United States' constitution and create a Bill of Rights Rap.

Our sixth graders did a fantastic job writing resumes for influencial people from the Renaissance period.  They also conducted a webquest where they enjoyed discovering and discussing the various explorers that were important during the "Age of Exploration".  In the next few weeks, our classes  will be comparing and contrasting the War in Iraq to both World War I and World War II.

Remember that November 24th is an early release day for students and they will return to school the 30th of November.  Have a Happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday.
Sincerely,

Kim Turnbull
