Welcome to Southeast Middle School
Home of the Patriots

There is a quote by Tom Peters that states, "Celebrate what you want to see more of."  It's quite easy to set New Year's resolutions, but often times very hard to follow through on them.  So, with ourselves and with our students, let us work together to celebrate each success - even the tiny ones . . . so that we will continue to see more and more of them.  All of us feel better with a "pep talk" --- not beating ourselves down for not doing something.  :)

Remember that each team offers after-school tutoring at least one day a week, and S.O.S. on Tuesdays 2:30 - 3:15 is open to any student who wants extra help.  If you are not sure which day tutoring is offered for your child, please feel free to email the team teachers or call the front office.  We'll be glad to assist you.

January events at SEMS:
  • Jan. 4th & 18th: Mentor/Mentee Meetings (7:30 - 7:50)
  • Jan. 16th: Martin Luther King. Jr. HOLIDAY
  • Jan. 20th: Blue Jeans for Babies ($1.00 to wear jeans) / the 20th is also the end of 2nd quarter
  • Jan. 23rd: Teacher Workday / no school for students
  • Jan. 24th: New team rotations begin (3rd/4th/1st/2nd blocks)
  • Jan. 26th: Lunch with Administration
