I am here at every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:15-4:15 for extra help for any student who needs it.

It is very important that you have turned in your Student contact form, Science safety form and movie form.  Thurs we are looking at doing a lab if you have not turned in your safety form you will not be allowed to participate.

Monday - We will be covering lab equipment what items look like and what they are used for.  There will be a quiz over this on Friday.  A cross-word puzzle will be given out today to review the lab equipment.  This puzzle is due Wednesday.   Reminder:  There is a quiz Wednesday over lab safety.  Students will need to study the safety symbols that we highlighted on the handout from last week.  Students will also need to review the Roanoke County Safety guidelines which are attached here on  schoolnotes in case you have    misplaced your copy.  Finally, you will need to study the notes of the 5 pieces of safety equipment that are located in the classroom and in the prep room.

Tuesday - We will continue our study of lab equipment today.  Reminder there will be a quiz tomorrow over lab safety.

Wednesday - Quiz today over lab safety.  We will take notes over the Bunsen burner including safety and how to light and extinguish the burner.  You MUST have your safety form turned in before you will be allowed to participate in the lab.  There will be a quiz Friday over the Bunsen burner and lab equipment.  Please study your notes.  Please wear closed toed shoes to class tomorrow, tie back long hair and don't wear loose clothing.

Thursday - Bunsen burner lab today.  Quiz tomorrow over Bunsen burners and lab equipment tomorrow.

Friday - Quiz today over Bunsen burners and lab equipment.  We will begin talking about the scientific method today.
