Here is some important November Nic News for you!

Please review counting change at home.  Break open that piggy bank!  Students should know the coin values as well as adding up sets of money, and making change.  

We are finishing our nature theme this month.  Next we will enjoy fables.  Fables are fantastical tales with a lesson to take with you.  Our class will do reader's theaters with this genre. 

        Second Grade is doing our first ever Native American Celebration Day!  It will be filled with educational adventures on this theme.  If you are interested in sending in items for the festivities, please let us know.

Students will continue to learn about weather.  We will use weather instruments, including a thermometer and anometer.  We will use the Promethean Board to model information gathered.  Finally, we will make a summary of all that we have investigated and compiled!
