'Tis the season for giving. A gentle reminder:

• Room 113 has adopted a family from the Magi Ministry program. We will try to brighten their Christmas by providing them with gifts. We are asking for $5 per child to cover the cost.
• 5th grade is asked to bring coffee for the Thanksgiving food drive.

For your information: The students are now using Study Island. This is an Internet based program for practice in reading and math. The program is available at home also. Last year's passwords are used this year. Please ask me if the password cannot be remembered.

The assignments for the week of November 16:

Math

We have begun a unit on graphing. We will being doing a project with our Halloween candy beginning Tuesday, November 17.

Monday: DHP # 39 Stem and Leaf plot

 English:

We will be continuing the unit on pronouns, and will be having a quiz on Thursday that covers pages 338-349 in the book.

  Social Studies:

 In class worksheets that are graded will be done this week. We also take notes in notebooks on a daily basis.

We have begun Chapter 4 American explorers. We will finish the chapter this week. Pages 146-147 are due on Tuesday, November 17. We will review on Nov. 18 with the test on Nov. 19.
