Hello Sharks and Parents,

Studying 4 Success- I am offering afterschool study sessions every Tuesday from 2:30-3:30 for Science EOC review until May. Any 8th grade student on any team may attend. Sharks will receive 10 extra credit points on any test for each sesssion they attend.They can bring a drink , snack or go to the bathroom and be ready to start at 2:40. Don't be late.

Reading Essentials will be due for all Shark students  on Feb. 8th- pages 43-52.Don't forget to highlight and answer all questions. Regardless of snow these will be due on the next day back for all assignments. In big blue book -pg. 79 1-5 , write in complete sentences due Feb. 8th or next day back. Page 85 , 1-6, write in complete sentences due Feb. 8th or next day back. If we are here tomorrow, Friday, and here Mon. we will have a Chapter 3 test on Tuesday. Be sure you study the 14 vocabulary words I gave you last week that will be on the test. fossil,  premineralized remains , carbon film,mold, cast, index fossil,principle of superposition,relative age, unconformity, absolute age, radioactive decay,half-life,radiometric dating,unformitarianism

We are planning on a March date for the yard sale and an April date for a car wash to help 8th graders with field trip expenses.

Look for news about an upcoming Yard Sale for all students who want help with 8th grade expenses. If you have an item to donate please send to me. We are not going to sell clothes but any other items that you think you would like to donate would be appreciated. Also any student that works the Yard Sale will get a portion of the proceeds for their expenses.  Any student may work to help another student if they wish.  If anyone has a business that would like to sponsor a child see me or Mr. Kraft, or if your church is looking for ways to help others please let us know. We will be glad to give you a letter head letter explaining the trip or they can call Mr. Kraft.
