          WELCOME TO SOUTHEAST MIDDLE SCHOOL GUIDANCE

The Guidance office welcomes students and parents.  We are here to help with counseling, coordination, and consultation, as needed for students to be successful at our school.  Please let us know if we can help you in any way. The following phone numbers are provided to assist you:

I appreciate the special opportunity of working with you and your children during the new 2008-09 school year.  Working together will ensure success for everyone involved in the journey of educating our students in the academic, social/personal, and career development realms.

8th grade---Computer Competency testing dates have been confirmed for our 8th graders.  Testing will be conducted December 8th and 11th -18th at 7:45.  Teachers will have their specific student testing dates by early November. Contact me or the homeroom teacher if you have questions.

7th grade----Any student or parent interested in the DUKE TIPS information is encouraged to go to the website  www.tip.duke.edu .  Mrs Holly Lowder, 7th grade teacher, also has this information.

7th grade---We will conduct the 7th grade On-Demand Writing Assessment (part #1) the week of December 1st ---through student first blocks.
